Four a Day is run by Samu Tuulos, who is the data controller under the GDPR. Contact: hello@playfouraday.com.

Your games and scores

The puzzles run entirely in your browser. Your progress, times, streaks and statistics are saved in your own browser (local storage) so you can come back to a puzzle and keep your streak. They are never sent to us. Clear your browser’s site data to remove them.

When you press Share, your result text goes only where you send it. The links to X, WhatsApp and Bluesky open those services with the text filled in; their own privacy policies apply there.

Hosting and statistics

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to each game. It does not use cookies or track you across sites.

Advertising

The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are asked for consent first through Google’s consent message. You can choose non-personalized ads or refuse cookies, and change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link in the footer.

How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also manage personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to processing. We hold no accounts, so in practice this concerns emails you send us. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Finland that is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
